Can the inner and outer weatherstrips on the door which the glass runs up and down between be replaced without removing the glass and/or the door panel. I looked in shop manuals and elsewhere and can't find it mentioned. there are no vent windows on this door.:icon_confused::icon_confused:

Sorry. The driver and passenger doors on the vehicle listed at bottom of the post; regular cab 1989 Ranger.:icon_idea:

You mean the weatherstripping in the upper door frame?

No, you have to remove the door panel. The window tracks inside the door have to be unbolted, that is one piece that runs all the way around where the window rides. You don't need to remove the window from the door, just roll it all the way down. It's not a hard job, just make sure you put the lower window tracks back in right... The tops clip in and the bottoms have 1 bolt holding them. Match up the old bolt marks for proper alignment.

Or do you mean the the lower seal? The ones that attach to the door panel and to the door itself?

The strips I am going to replace run horizontally across the bottom of the window opening on the inside and outside of the window glass. $_57.jpg
