As the title says i installed it yesterday, and i love it! one of the best mods i did to the truck so far, im really impressed with the shorter throw, hell it feels even shorter then my dads stock throw on his 07 mustang gt. I ordered mine off summit shipping was fast and easy and on time.

The one thing i dont like it is the arm seems a little lower, like its ment for a little person or reg cab, i might call hurst and see if its possible to get sent a longer arm. and there is a lot of gear meshing and winding sounds in all gears, could there be a way to stop this by adjusting the stop bolts on the shifter? i do get the annoying 3rd gear rattle. I stuffed some old insulation around the boot and shifter and packed it inside the console well, it seemed to stop majority of the gear mesh and winding sounds still get a tad bit.

I think it looks good, and a little old school with the mech. gauges on the floor :headbang: lol

and heres a pic of my baby

anyway someone could install one in say an older ranger? I like the looks of them and wanting to put one in the '92 I just bought

nice rig man, needs more aggressive tires and it would be sick!

thanks guys!

needs more aggressive tires and it would be sick!

Well i wanted to pick a tire that had a aggressive trend but not to extreme, and those Pathmaker A/T's i have are perfect, not to mention i couldnt beat the deal i got for 4 tires. how ever i was wanting to go a next size up that they put on the 16' stock alloys are 45. my old rims were the steel 15' rim with the 35 goodyear's. They didnt have any of the size tire that i wanted and would take a week to get so i setted with the 35's on my new wheels, i do regret that and wish that i waited some, but o well theres always next time!

i hope that makes sense lol

no not 35' if thats what ur thinking im talking tire size from the side of the tires its 235 i wanted a 245 which is the size they put on stock 16' alloy rims they put the 235 on the stock 15' steel rims

this link should answer a lot of your questions.

just go to hurst shifter on the left side.
it will help with the sound deadening too.
I will be getting one sometime in the future but between insurance due and other things it got pushed back a little.

is that only for manuals?

i'd like to ditch my floor shifter in for a newer one eventually for my auto.
