input shaft and countershaft question

is the input shaft and countershaft in the m5od transmission universal on the 2.3L/2.9L/3.0L transmissions? i know they have the same gear ratio....

story is i want to transplant guts from a 2.9 or 3.0 into a 2.3L trans... (they are hard to find here) the input shaft and counter shaft on the 2.3L melted, and i need to find a cheep fix for it. hope some one knows the answer to this, it would save me a BUNDLE of money.

the 2.3L is a 4x4 on a 1994 ranger, so the doner trans would be from same years and type as well....

Yes, the guts will swap, you can also use the trans from a '88 2.0, too bad you're so far away, have lots of transmissions here, 2 and 4wd even for a 2.3, $200-$300, lol, funny how that goes....
