Input needed for BDS Suspension lift for 98+ rangers!

I'd like to see a '98-11 SAS kit. There is no kit available at all for the '98-'11 trucks that I know of (and never has been)... This when they are the ones that really would benefit from a SAS kit too.
('95-'01 Explorers are the same thing, so that market would get covered as well)

Include a mounting bracket to fit a commonly available steering box such as the '80-'97 Ford box ("D9" box, I think it is?). To help keep kit costs down, don't include the box, as they are easy enough to source from a wrecker or elsewhere.

What axle to have it fit is going to be a tough choice.
There's obviously the very abundant Jeep D30, however under anything but a small reg-cab truck, this axle is not likely to fare well.
Suitable D44s are getting harder to find (the EB D44 is almost all but dried up), and narrowing a F-150 D44 (though it has additional benefits) may be more work than some want to deal with. Waggy D44s need extra work as well unless someone doesn't mind having leaf springs.
I suspect some options may be needed for different axle fitments if it's to be a good seller.
(one option might be to include Jeep-style brackets you weld to the axle directly, allowing you to fit a wide variety of axles).

a 4-6 inch coilver kit would be great, some new upper and lower contol arms wouldn't be half bad either

well i see we are not helping this cause:icon_confused:

I would have loved to be able to buy a decent Coil over kit for my 98 when i had it. A SAS kit wouldnt be bad either but like mentioned before, axle selection would make it a tough sell

gonna call them after the holidays or stop down in coldwater at bds and chat with them. hoping to have more posts in this thread than 2 pages by than

I like that idea coilovers I think it would be even better with handling than the hard ride of the t bars and it would be great to keep the prise under 1000 4 inch great 6 better

here is the thing if they did a coilover kit there is no way it would be under 1000 bucks. the coilovers are not that cheap. yes it would be more than a superlift lift BUT it would be a far baetter lift having coilovers instead of how superlift still uses the t-bars and only drops them down 4 inches making the front still not flex and still bad offroad. so when you guys ask for a coilover lift it will be a bit more for the reason you are paying for a better lift and the coilovers.

The D30 does have an aftermarket to make it stronger though, something the SLA D35 never really has had or likely never will.

I would rather SAS than try to deal with the SLA setup. IMO there isn't much potential there unless you dump a ton of money into redesigning it.

either way i see them doing a sas kit or coilover kit. there is no point in making a kit like superlift.

I don't think they should do a SAS kit. I think people who would think about doing that are more than likely able to fab up their own stuff. A coilover lift would be the way to go I think.

people SAS yota pickup's and 4runner's with a kit... regardless of if they can do the fab work themselves or not... if the kit is decently priced, it's worth it to get the kit. Look at trail gears SAS kit, it sells daily.

exacty Trail-gears kits for yotas is like anywhere from $1000 to $4000 bucks depending whats in the kit and how bullet proof u want the kit.

4" coil over conversion lift would be perfect.
Smooth ride of coil overs, lift for 33's with plenty of room for flexing Offroad.

Sas would be ok, but far less people would want that vs a coil over conversion IFS
