Hey guys, I just wanted to share how I replaced my inner u joint on the passenger side (one coming out of diff). I have a 1997 Mazda b4000 with a Dana 35 up front, the inner u joint was shot. Everything I read online people talking about removing the PIG to access the diff to remove the clamp holding the axle In. Well I was able to replace the u joint without removing anything, including the hub and outer part of the axle. I changed it right in place as it sits. I bought a u joint puller from napa Part #: SER 905 to remove the one one and the new one I pressed it in with a heavy duty c clamp, the whole job took about 2 hours. The U joint took a little finesse to get into place but there was enough play in the axle to do so. Maybe this will help a few people

Cool truck too man

I joined the forum just to ask about this, i have a 88 that needs that specific u joint. I'm gonna give it a shot. Thanks for the inspiration lol

It takes a little patience to get it reinstalled. Just have a nice c clamp and you’ll be good

I just used a torch, Ive done 3 of them now on rigs I had. I just cut the center of the u joint out and let it cool and the caps nock right out. A good size C clamp and it push's them right in. Those tools work great though, I have one for semi's that I use all the time.

Thanks y'all, I am pretty decent with a torch but I might see if i can rent the tool somewhere first
