Inner tire wear

99 3.0 4wd inner tire wear. I’ve replaced the upper control arms, tie rod ends, sway bar links, wheel bearings and new tires and alignment. All all 1-2 yrs ago. Now once again I see significant inner tire wear, especially on the passenger side. If the camber isnt adjustable what other parts are causing this? I can even see the tires tilted while parked. I understand I can install adjustable camber bolts but I’m wondering what other factory parts or adjustment is effecting the tires. Thanks.

It’s negative camber from the factory setup. You can buy eccentric camber washers that replace the upper control arm and can be rotated to get neutral camber.

The way I did it was to jack up both lower control arms at the jacking points until the tires were off the ground, then adjust the bottle jacks until the front center frame section was level. Then I could rotate the eccentrics until both wheels were plumb, measured on the rotors. This will affect you castor as well, but it hasn’t affected me that I can tell.

You’ll need a toe in alignment after, best from a frame shop, not a chain store.

I got my eccentrics at Amazon, search eccentric camber set, put in your vehicle info and it should pop up.

And you should be rotating your tires every 5000 miles.
