OK My rig is a rock crawler on 40in tilres. I am haveing fuel starvation issues on the rocks, A friend told me I should but larger injectors and change the fuel regulator to higher PSI... has anyone done this or have any sugestions on what componets would work... Right now I am NOT looking to put a V-8in it.

Also I have been told that I could have the chip flashed? Please note, I do not have a data link conector on my ECM.

It is a 1995 3.0 ranger motor, M50d-R-1 Trans, I am running 5:29gears

Thanks for the help

I kinda doubt "fuel starvation". Please give some particulars about when and how you are having problems. RPM- gear- land speed, would be a good place to start.

OK. When I am trying to tackle a rock on a somewhat vertical hill it stalls out on me, Sometimes I can play with the clutch and the throttle and get over but most the time it stalls out. RPMS I would have to guess extremly low.
First gear and low in T-case
Thanks

You know as I am thinking out loud on your RPM question, I think you are on to something, IF the RPM as not spinning fasst enough it will not deliver the power to to wheels to get me over the obstacle...
I am installing a doubler some time in the next month or so, This should get my rpms up.

Do you think that is the only issue???

OR!

this is a excellent point do you have a fuel cell if so make sure the pick-up is to the rear

Keep the tank full! If there isn't enough fuel to get from what is NOW the bottom of the tank to the pickup you will get the fuel starvation problem you speak of.
Even a doubler won't help if the pickup is out of the fuel.
