they should drop in, but your computer isnt tuned for them...you'll run incredably rich.
why are you trying to upgrade your injectors? you know the stockers will support roughly 160hp....20hp over stock. and if you bumped your fuel pressure up a bit they could probably reach close to 200hp.
Grey is 15lbs, orange is 19lbs and red I think is 24lbs. Make sure you keep them the same color that came out. If you put in a 19lbs in a 15lbs motor it will run like crap and very rich. Now if you want to run 19lbs injectors on a 15lbs computer you need to recal your maf for it or have your ecm reprogrammed.
you need to have a chip burnt to your exact specifications and plugged into your PCM's j-port. SCT makes EEC-IV chips if i recall. doug at bamachips could also probably program a custom chip for you.
the SHO guys us the twEECer...while ive never heard of it used in a ranger, i dont see why it wouldnt work in any EEC-IV vehicle. the twEECer is kind of a piggyback thing...thousands of times more useful and tunable than just a chip.
90' MAF computer is pretty easy to adapt in an '88 though..
Did run 19lbs injectors w/ IST Air Adjuster, ran good above 2,500 rpm, pretty rich at idle. Eventually I got flow matched stock from Fred at Rogue Performance when they started ticking (used) and I started pieceing my V8 swap. Actually came w/ a chart on the flow tests.
I have a cam and other mods though, definitely not good for anything close to stock. Only went w/ the MAF computer because the sd/map computer wouldn't have liked the cam at all..
I replaced my original worn out injectors with a new set of matched Accel injectors, wow, they made it run like new. I think they were 14's and the pdf says 137cc's.
