I'm good with that, If we can find them. Last time out I tried found 1 navigable, no trace of 2, and the 4th had 2.5ft ruts after about 100 yards with no way to get around them or even turn around.

What do you have in the way of radio? I've got a couple OLD handheld CBs. I'm not afraid to go get a set of GMRS handhelds (and a license) though.

If you need to,man. I'm not leaving till in the morning for the expo. You can run by and grab my handhelds GMRS radios and borrow them. I can go out and plug them in. My shop is right off exit 108.

I had OnX before. I couldn't get much out of it... Maybe it's just me, but I felt I'd have been better off with a paper map.

I have onX. I will download the offline maps. Cell service is spotty there.

I bought GMRS radios tonight. But unfortunately I can’t get the license from the FCC. The website is effectively shutdown just like the government.

Me too. Several of the channels overlap with FRS. As long as we stay on those we should be fine. If the website is down enforcement probably isn't gonna hassle us.

In fact I picked up a few things that I've been meaning to get.

The Baofeng radios I got are really nice. Very surprised. They are only 3 watts
