Hello,

In there a step by step guide on how to install a 1994 ranger header panel?

Thanks,
RH

Yeah, here it is:

Remove upper grille moulding.
Remove grille.
Remove headlights by pulling out the retaining clips (disconnect the headlight connector, first)
Remove corner blinkers (there is a bolt with a nut holding them in place)
Remove outer grille moulding.

Lastly, just take out all of the 5/16" bolts that hold most of the header panel on the radiator support. Then, the last pain in the butt you should have to do is take off the nuts that hold the outer studs in place.

In order to reach those, you'll have to get under the fender, and reach up into the front part, where it's really cramped.

If your header panel has taken any damage, it's likely that the studs will separate from the fiberglass header panel, and that means you'll have to use vise-grips on the studs to get them out. It happened to me, and I reinstalled the studs in the header panel by filling the hole and the barb end of the stud with Quik Steel.

I just saw the picture you posted of the front left damage your white ranger took.

Sorry that you had that happen, but thankfully it's all a fairly easy fix.

Oh, and you're definitely going to have to use vise-grips on the driver's side stud. I don't see how it would not have gotten broke.

Silly me. I did the REmoval steps.

Installation is just the opposite. Post up if you have any difficulty.

Hi, thanks for the directions they have helped alot. My question is: The quick steel stuff that you have mentioned- will it work on the inner fender stud that keeps on unscrewing when I am tightening up the 11mm nut? I bought a used header panel from a junkyard and after I preped it and painted it found out it is aftermarket.....its thinner fiberglass and now the studs are twisting loose....I was told to stay away from aftermarket and now this LOL my luck!!! It fits good though.
