i recently came across an oxy acetalene tourch/welding setup i need to weld up my leaf spring perches for my sas swap would the oxy setup be good enough (strong enough welds) to do so ???
thats just the problem i have a welder but i cant run it of of my house it pops the breaker after 2 or 3 minutes of welding ..... relly frustrating and iv welded with oxy before but idk how strong it would be for my application ...
O/A can be as strong as any other type of welding, you just have to have the right tip and know how to weld. O/A is what I recommend to people starting out as you HAVE to learn how to move the puddle in order to get a strong weld and that is the same in all other types of welding. Like any other type of welding....practice, practice, practice. And if you're unsure of your skills, in this case it would be better to hire a pro...this is a part you don't want breaking off while driving.
Good luck,
