OK, i am looking at getting the Pioneer DEH-11E to get an upgrade on the stock. It says it is 50w x 4 will that be better than my stock or will it help if i get a 4-way speakers. I don't need anything fancy when it comes to an In-Dash Receiver (Radio), just something that i can connect my ipod to in the front. I know and trust Pioneer!

Next is speakers. I was looking at the Pioneer TS-A6882R, they are 4-way so? They are $100 a pair, if you all think they are worth it i will buy but not sure whats better; 2-way, 3-way, 4-way? Any suggestions on Pioneer speakers or another kind?? Again i know and trust Pioneer but not real knowledgeable about speakers so any info will be helpful.

first your 50x4 is max, your going to be running in the 22wrms x4 range.
your factory wont be much lower then that, how ever the after market Hu will give you a better sound quality for the most part. and also allows you to add things like your ipod.

as far as your speakers go. for $100 better speakers can be found online if you dont mind wait to get them in. and seem a bit pricey for pioneers any way.

the 2,3,4 way speaker question. speakers with a tweeter mounted in the middle are called coaxial. and there is no benifits youll ever hear with having 2 or 3 tweeters jamed in there, one tweeter per speaker is all you really need.

better speakers lower price, all i did was type in coaxial in google and found some.

It doesn't take much to be better than the factory unit.

The factory unit would be doing well to produce 8w-10w RMS and 20w-25w Peak.

Also almost any speaker will be an improvement over the stock ones. Look for something in the 5x7" or 6x8" size if you want something that will bolt right in. Or with a little creativity and poss a little cutting you can go with components inc a round woofer that might get you a little better sound. Depends on what you're looking for in the end.

i have a pioneer head, its like deh-5100 or something its amazing, i shoulda gone with the 4100 its like 80 bucks cheaper and does what i want, but i have the 6X8's that you want, there 60 at wally world and they are impressive, i really am pleased with them, id say get em, the hu isnt what i like but it should work great.

i have a pioneer avic d2 in mine along with a 4 channel pioneer amp powering my 2 fronts and a sub.

i love the alpine type s 5x7 speakers i put in the front...they sound amazing and are very clear...not much midbass in em but thats what my sub is for. id take a look at those as well...theyre only 2 way but thats all you need. 4x4fun is right...2 is all you need, any more crammed on there is worthless.
