In Dash DVD Player for 88 Ranger

I am doing a complete makeover on a 88 Ranger and noticed that the dash sticks out to far for the standard motorized screen. Has anyone had any success installing a In-Dash DVD player in the pre-90 Ranger? Id so can you please post what brand and model number will clear this dash? Pictures would be great too... I would prefer a unit with Bluetooth, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker.

Did you ever have any luck with this? I've got an '89 XLT and apparently the "universal" kit for 1975 - 2005 "fits everything" kits don't fit 1989-1993 Rangers. . .

Here's an idea for you...

I have an in-dash multimedia head unit

It will play DVD's but does not have it's own screen.

One of these days I will get a 7" GPS unit that also works as a screen
(Magellan makes one with a video input)
Or buy an accessory screen (7" or 10")

Having one of those motorized screens that does a "Transformer routine"
seems too Complicated and Failure/Breakage prone to me...

I plan on putting in this android 4.4 double din head unit in my 91 ranger. It currently has a Sony single din head unit.
