Most importantly they have radials... which is the only thing that would bring me to the BMW camp.

But since I haven't seen any FW-190's on craigslist lately I would say me joining the BMW camp is... unlikely.

So we bought a 2000 X5 with the 4.4 v8 a while ago for a spare for the wife. I have been driving it around alot lately, I have been to lazy to move the car seat to the Ram and the other car seat needs cleaned. So I just use the BMW when I gotta take the kid somewhere. For 20 years old and 151k on the clock it runs great, doesn't burn oil, gets decent mileage and it really gets up and go. I might let the old lady buy a newer BMW when the Lancer dies.

I think the 2000 BMW x5 we have as a beater needs and alternator.


They are water cooled alternators..... and the entire front end need taken apart to get to it.... those Germans really know how to party first the blitzkrieg then the holocaust now this. They are the gift that keeps giving..... btw they are building up their military again....

My son bought a used BMW after I warned him not to. You can find used BMWs cheap because their so expensive to repair.

My sons BMW is a nightmare.

I'd like to have one, but I'd replace the BMW drivetrain with a GM.
