I'm starting to hate my truck!

that hp pump will work fine on its own for what your doing....priming might take some puffing on the ga filler if you run out of fuel...but they do ok with no restriction feeding mild v8 engines all alone.

^^^ yep, a short piece of hose and a little cranking and it fired right up. Thanks for the encouragement.

Update;
I had the same problem again. I swapped out the eecIV for a known good one. The truck fired right up. So being the cheap ass that I am, I swapped the original back in....and the truck fired right up. Well, shit! So I take it for a short rip and it dies after a few hundred yards. Damn. Walk back for tools and the new computer and swaped it back...again. Ripped around for 10 minutes and no more problems. I did take the nfg computer lid off and found no signs of any problems. Oh well.

The old BMW guys I run with have great success fixing flaky ECUs by re flowing the solder connections around the power transistor. Look for a black line around the solder joint. That is carbon from arcing.
