I'm Lost

I recently did a 3'' BL on my ranger, and I also lifted the front bumper with the body. Now I have my radiator exposed. I am afraid that when I am driving rocks or stuff can damage it. I am wondering if anyone has made or found something that can protect it. I am on a tight budget and I don't know how to weld and do all of that. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I was thinking of using the chicken wire idea. How might I connect the chicken wire up??? I just don't want to damage the radiator by any flying objects.

And yes the truck is lifted on a 3'' BL. It is still sitting on stock 28'' tires.

why isnt the radiator moved at the same time? it should be attached to the core support... which was lifted with the body lift.

no a body lift just lifts the body chicken wire might not work cause it will probably give when it gets hit try some expanded metal

I knew that I used some brackets for the radiator when I did the BL, but I wasn't sure what those brackets did. Thanx for clearing that up. I will be remounting that light bar closer to the front bumper soon. When I do that, I might think about using some thin metal and tack welding it to the bar. I will still appreciate any suggestions.

There is a type of expanded metal that, instead of diamond shaped grate material, it's actually an 1/8" plate that has 1/2" holes punched in a pattern(like the skid plate on an ATV).

It would look really good, still pass enough air for the radiator to function, and protect it from most debris.

Look for something called "Hardware cloth"

It's heavier wire on a 3/8" grid typically hot dip galvanized

Thanks for all the feed back. I will have to go to the hardware store and try to find some of that material. I like the idea of the metal with the punched holes. I will post some pics on the thread, when I get the time to work on it. Thanks again.
