Im confused with 1gen grilles

hey i have been looking around at rangers and stuff and Ive seen some people with the grilles that looks like the explorer grille where the only have three ribs instead of the regular.. heres one im talkin about http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Ranger-V8-updated_709807.htm

It's an explorer grille just cut to fit where the old gen 1 grille used to be.... I love the look of that grille and I'm gonna do mine like that this weekend!!!!

Looks like an Aerostar grill to me. Those DO fit the 1st gen with no cutting, simply replace the eggcrate center section of your grill. The trick is that you need the 2 piece grill that has the removeable center. My 87 STX has the grill to do this, but my 84 BII DOES NOT. Just a headsup to check the grill shell out to make sure you can do it, esp. since you have an early Ranger.

Just remember....... PIXPIXPXIPIXPIXPIXPXIPXIPXIXPIXPIXPXIPXIXPXIPIX, please. It is on my to do list, but it is way, way down on it, like mostly likely just before I hang the license plate on it, downon the list. I know that we 3 are not the only ones wanting to do this. I even have the grill stashed in the shed to keep it from walking off or getting damaged.

Sorry, but you "DO" have to modify both grills to make it work!
