I'm bringing TRS-1 out of retirement - - - ->

Just remember, you never hear the shot that kills ya.......

When I went to the Police Academy I got the award for top shooter in my class.

Of course,

It was an online academy.......

and we used Nintendo's Duck Hunt for qualification.....

But anyways,

I still need to see it in person. Jim, maybe you could tour around Ohio when you get it done.

Actually,

I'm looking at a more conservative rebuild of TRS-1 but still using the D60's with 39.5" Boggers. Probably just leave it as a mud truck with TRS-2 as a trail truck.

Our income has improved some now that V is working full time as an EMT.

Since 2009 is the 10 year Anniversary of TRS, we're trying to figure out a way to get both trucks at some events in 2009. Both trucks have never been anywhere together.

I'd like to see TRS-1 and TRS-2 together in 2009 at a 4-Wheel Jamboree or similar truck show, a trail ride - (But not the Anniversary Event due to cost) and I may approach Yankee Lake and see if they would have a 'Ranger' night. They have different things going on. The last time I was there it was John Deer night.

Working on the old Ranger has really re-kindled my love for that truck and has made me want to rebuild it just a little better than it is now.

Jim this is turning out awesome, did you turn it back to gen 1 after?

My girl does the same thing. I love it when shes just around her house or around me, but hate it when she goes out with it like that
tell me about it..:flipoff: haha

wow, youre a lucky man jim, she helps with the truck, she is REAL easy on the eyes, and shes an EMT
man, i hate you now

(i have a thing for EMTs, im a firefighter , and theres allot of hot emts that i know)

Hey PT,

Hey Jim, what did you use for lettering on your switch panel, ive always wanted to put one on my truck but i need to buy stuff for it to turn on. Im a switch whore, its like your starting up a plane or something, "QUADE!....START THE REACTOR !!";missingteeth;

I made that with my vinyl cutter. I cut it out as one decal so the words were centered under the holes.

I can make people labels for their switches as long as there not under 1/4" tall. The small they get the harder it is to seperate the vinyl.

If you notice, that's her TRS shirt. She picked the style. Not me. It's not the ladies tank listed on the site.
any way possible i can get one these trs shirts like the one your wife is got on for my wife she whats one if not thats cool thanks jim

Jim, I'll still come out to Yankee the 25th if you're going.

I need to find a trailer to borrow, though. Then I can beat the piss out of it!;missingteeth;

Im there. Vanessa took of the 26th so we don't have to worry about getting home late.

We replaced the broken axle and hub in the truck today.

Jim, try working deal with Fireball, Joe is alot easier to work with then John (owner of Yankee Lake) I know them both. I know John will want more money to do any kind of event, one of the reasons i don't go to Yankee any more. You can contact Joe about any time and he's a really pleasant guy.
On another note, watch ur tires and at yankee in the pits, from experience they don't clean the pits out so well, made one of the first passes of the nite in my buddy's Ranger and ripped the sidewall out off the his new 33 we put on 2 hours before from a bumper left from the week before... Fireball takes good care of the pits. Not meaning to be a prick and bash yankee Lake, just talking from my expirences.
I'm at Fireball every week, though i woulkd prolly be shunned for saying this but my off road toy is a Wrangler, lowered Rangers, not so good for off the road usage, ha.
On any account have a great time!

Vanessa and I looked a Fireball. I like their obstacle course. I want to go there as well. Seems like most people here that go to Hubbard goes to Yankee Lake.

The thing that concerns me most about these places is all the drinking. I don't want some drunk plowing in to me.

both have been enjoyable in years past. i have been to both. i will do my best to make it, even if i am still 2wd.

Today she wanted to learn how to swap the axleshaft. I just told her what to do and walked her through it.

I had to get the broken shaft out though. When the u-joint went, the ears on the axle shaft yoke got bent out just enough that it wouldn't pass through the steering knuckle. I had to hit one of the ears with a sledge hammer to bend it back in so it would clear. I had her repack the bearing and put it all back together.

This girl loves grease.

Colin does it in 2WD.......

The front grill and sheetmetal had been laying behind the shed for the past year so I've been cleaning them up and putting them back on.

I spray bombed my grill with white paint. It was white when I first painted the truck. The logo was shot so I took it off, filled the hole with bondo and made a new logo out of blue and chrome vinyl.

Doesn't look to bad and didn't cost me anything.
