Hey guys! I'm back again. I never really posted much but I have been on here a few times in the past. I have an 88 Chopped Bronco 2 right now that I am selling (new owner told me he was a member on here already IIRC) but the B2 has a replacement sitting in the driveway already, an 83 regular cab long box, 2wd, 2.3, 4 speed manual pile of rust. I have big plans for t already, have a 302 in the garage picking up a t5 soon i hope.

here is when i got it

and here it is with a bit of paint and different wheels

i have a long way to go, the frame is real solid, body not so much, but i have a good idea of where i can get most of my parts so it should come together somewhat quickly.

i will probably start a build log when i start really tearing into it. first i need to see if the 2.3 even starts and see if the battery will hold a charge.

Sounds like a solid project to me. I guess it was a local work truck or something? I see some letters on the side in that 1st pic.

yeah it was somewhat local. the truck was light blue originally and painted white at some point. im not sure if i am going to stay white or find some unique color...

Welcome...

May I suggest sandblasting the frame and sealing it before going further with any other mods? I took my box and cab off and checked it thoroughly for rust and then went from there...better to do it right the first time...especially if you're going to put in a 302...

Actually I have already prepped and undercoated most of the frame. I don't have a sand blaster but I used a wire wheel, scraped, and rust dissolver followed by several coats of rubberized undercoating. I will post up pics tonight.
