88 Ranger
New Member
Hi, I've been absent from TRS for about 4 years. I last spent all my time here when I was doing a 2.9 engine swap and then rebuilding my manual transmission. I love TRS and can't believe I've been away for so long. I see the sight has come a long way since my last visit can't wait to get back into the sight.
I still have my original 88 Ranger 2.9L 2WD super cab manual transmission with the nice Green and tan coloring. I've owned this truck since 1990 it was a real nice and new back then. I guess I fell in love with it and have been finding ways to keep her alive ever since.
She has a different 2.9 in her now out of an 86 ment to be a temp, but Oh how the time and money flys. I still think about rebuilding it sometimes, but might have to wait until I retire the way it looks. I also had to rebuild my manual trans. You all know how much fun drag racing is, LOL. Oh my, how I use to think that ol' 2.9 was something when I was younger. Anyway how we all learn with time, and expereince.
Anyhow I'm real glad to be back.
