Well howdy yall. sorry ive been gone so long my ranger finally gave out, and i got a mustang so i was hiding in the mustang online forums, sorry. Well its time to bring this thing back to life, was gonna put a 302 i built in it but 1. theres too many 302 rangers, 2.(and biggest reason) cost. so im about to build the biggest baddest 2.8L that ever road the roads. If Jack Roush can put 600 horses on a 1.6 then why can't I on a 2.8?(cause im not jack roush, ya i know) Well I'm gonna put up a build thread and take pictures every step of the way to show everyone that more pistons and bigger displacement doesnt limit the power of motors so won't yall follow me on my trek to 2.8L greatness?! Disbelievers and skeptics are welcome to voice their opinions, i dont mind.:icon_thumby:

I'm an old guy and grew up saying "you can't beat cubic inches" but I applaud your efforts.
The most important thing about any vehicle is; Does it make the owner happy?

Mine is California stock more from the laws than from my preference.

I'll follow your build thread, whats it going to be called?

Not sure on the title probably just monster 2.8 build or something I'll start it in the morning i already diconnected everything except for the motor mounts and trans. so i take pictures while pulling it out then tear down and machine work, ill take before and after pictures of all machine work and what not, which will be done by Power house in rockingham, NC or done by myself(powerhouse is a pretty good machine shop for SC and NC natives, great work down side is they take forever on head work but the results are pretty good). And as a small block fan vs the big block, i never really liked big blocks, mainly becuase i love going up agaisnt some cocky chevy with a 500cid motor and me in a 302 stompin' em. love it. this will be only my second v6 build, but yall brace yourselves your in for a ride.
