had 3.0 heads planed and lost compression, do rocker arms have to be shimmed up on non-adjustuble rockers

Your valvetrain shouldnt be effected when you have your heads milled. Did you put thicker head gaskets on??? Need a valvejob??? did your heads get cleaned of all the metal, maybe there is something between the valves and seats.
Just suggestions, sounds like a thicker head gasket would be most probable to me.
