Ignition lock cylinder replacement help

I have an ‘86 Bronco 2.

I know all the videos and articles say just push in the pin at the bottom of the ignition lock cylinder and the lock cylinder pops right out. That is not the case for me. I have provided a lot of pressure/pushing and the pin does not move like all the videos and articles say it should. I have a tilt column, is that what is buggering me up? Please help. How do I get the ignition lock cylinder out? The pin on my new lock cylinder doesn't seem to move either.

I do not have a key for the truck, is the lack of a key in the lock cylinder what is causing the problem?

Yep yep. BFH to the rescue. Got it out and the new one in with the accurate placement of exceptional force and out she came haha
