I was reading that my 94 Mazda B 4000 has a trans case that is only a parttimer. If I can find a exploder t case what would I have to change to install it?

All t cases for your truck are part time

Unless you get an AWD case from a newer explorer you will get the exact same case you already have. Are you wanting all wheel drive for some reason?

No I just did not know, I was under the assumption that the exploder t case was close to what I have but could be used more. I think my t case is starting to go bad and this time of year I really need 4 wheel.

It would be really prudent to follow the shift motor cleaning writeup in the tech library.

I don't have a problem with the shift motor. when I am in 4 wheel H the t case sounds like it is spining way to fast almost like there is no lube in it. I have not checked it yet. Too much snow. I have used 4 wheel H many times on the interstate in the past with no problems, just started today. The truck has 187 thou on it and still runs like new.

I'm thinking the AWD case from the 5.0 Explorers won't bolt up to what you have. All Explorer cases are not all wheel drive. I'm not sure if the newer Explorers with a 4.0 used an AWD case or not. The "auto" case is different than the "AWD" case.
