and sail the great lakes, then see about the oceans.

It would need to be a large pot though for the boat though.

The only Great Lake I've been in was Erie. The waves are so close together they beat you senseless and when a storm comes up, it lifts the waves immediately. Much more dangerous and annoying than the ocean.

Yeah, if I won the lottery big enough for one of those, I'd probably be paying to have it done to spec.

The Huron isn't too bad...I guess, never been in the ocean to compare it to though. I was more concerned with the wave amplitude, the frequency I think I could deal with, the roller coaster riding...not so much.

Get out of debt, buy land, build a house and start my own golf course. 18 holes just for me. I would buy an old school Mini Cooper S and build my Mustang. I would also get a Shelby GT 500 just bc they are uber sexy.

Screw opening a business.

1). I would plop a good portion of that money into CD's, and high interest return accounts. Investments?

2). Buy land. Put a decent house on that land. Build a personal network of trails. Ranger=Hobby. A building....at least 2x the size of the house would house tools, equipment, etc.

3). Also on that land become self-sufficient. Have a large garden, few animals, etc. The land would have to be near a body of water, and have forest.

I wouldn't go out and blow money. I'd rather use what I need to setup. Figure out how much I NEED for life, fold that into CD's, investments, etc....therefore my money keeps making me money.

With the rest I'll help people out. Donate to charities. Help family, some "true" friends, and be set.

I know I would be tempted to do some sort of business for something to do, but the hassle, and stress isn't worth it. That's why my place would be my job. The trails, Ranger/4x4ing , house, garden, animals, fishing, hunting, etc... would be a job/hobby enough.

I could die a happy and simple man.

If you try to help anyone in need without restricting it to family members (ones you actually like) will result in you being poor again as fast as if you blew it all in Las Vegas.

Frankly yeah, I'd buy a couple of nice cars.... a couple of new SHO Taurus
but for my "nice car" an AMG 6.5, I don't fit in any Ferrari I'd want to own.

but where I'd kill REAL money is on a couple of aircraft....

a Hawker-Beech 200CGT, a 10 seat twin turboprop, about $5million
and a Lancair Turbo-Evolution a FAST(340kt) four seat single turboprop $1million.

An enormous house (hollywood style)? Not only no, hell no!

a descent house on a HUGE piece of property? Yep, several times...
in different locations. But about 1000acres in Jackson Hole, Wy with
a 6000ft runway would be just about right....
