If you won the lottery.............

I would buy a nice acreage on the edge of town, 5 acres should do it.

Put up a nice machine shed to keep my toys in if it didn't have one, complete with concrete floor.

Restore my Ranger to specs I think it should have been built (D35, ex 8.8, 302, AOD...)

I would also restore my tractors, and get new tires for 2 of them (the third has really good rubber already)

I would get my dream car, a 1970 'Cuda, 340 six pack, 4spd, black with silver shaker hood. I would also get a black '11 Mustang GT to keep it company and for a nice cushy cruiser.

Dunno if a lotto would cover all that, but since I don't buy into them anyway I will probably never know anyway.

i would build a huge polebarn with lots of air compressors and tools and welders. i would then buy a crapload of land and fence it off possibly in texas or something and stock it with cape buffalo. then i would open up my performance exhaust shop. maybe get my girlfriend a boob job.... she needs a reduction lol.

If I won the lottery, I'd stay pretty simplistic as well.

1. Stay in school (but now I won't have to take out loans!)
2. Pay off all of my parents' and sister's debt (house, cars, etc.)
3. Donate a huge chunk to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
4. Pay off my bike, give it to my friend (his Suzuki is about to crap out on him) and buy the Buell I have always wanted.
5. Buy a large chunk of land here in Washington, put a modest house on it (nothing too fancy or big) with a nice shop for me to work in.
6. Build the trail Ranger I have always wanted to build.
7. Put my college degree(s) to good use.

Im not gonna lie, i would probally end up dead:D
But it would be fun:yahoo:

I'd buy about 1000 mostly wooded acres with a fully stocked private lake. Build my dream log home. Build a huge pole building with room for a few tanks (fully operational), a few artillery pieces, and other military vehicles, many muscle cars, and a machine shop with everything to make any part I could need. Also, a climate controlled bunker for my gun collection...

I still gotta buy a lottery ticket...

im really looking forward to it!

any chance on a first run edition? :D

I'll send you a proof copy, probably next spring, if you want.

The whole story is in my head. I have a hundred pages of notes. And I have 30 pages of experimental stuff to see how it feels. None of that will be used, but it helps me get the feel of it. It's kind of like setting a course for a downhill ski. It takes a long time to set it up, but the ski run itself is short--and you never know what exactly is going to happen once you start down the slope.

Will, what kinds of books do you write? Just creative/fictional stuff?

I remember from quite some time ago (on TRS) you mentioning that you write.

I'd enter the lottery again and buy 100 $1 scratch off tickets for the fun of it, and then I go out, buy these:

If you won the lottery.............

If you won the lottery.............

and maybe one of these:

If you won the lottery.............

i would really like that. no matter what track you take down the run i know its going to be good!

This is the one I published.

You don't need to win the lottery to own a junk yard. It's a pretty prominent feature in my area. A trailer house with 40 cars banked up against it.

i would quit my job, maybe take a crap on my boss's desk on my way out because hes and a- hole and i would start my own business. naturally i would pay off my house as well as my parents house and my dad's business and give them enough money to retire on so they can quit working. i would buy my wife a new car, whatever she wants as long as its a ford. i would really like to buy about 200 acres and build a modest house right in the middle of it so i wouldnt have any neighbors. i would hunt.. alot! probably fish alot and i would travel the world. i would like to visit Normandy to pay honor to the fallen americans that are buried there, i would also visit Pearl harbor hawaii for the same reason as well as visit all the national military memorials. i would also like to visit canada, not really sure why, ive just always wanted to go there, its really not that far from me so im not sure why i havent been there already. lol i would travel america and eat at all the awesome pig out places that guys did on that man vs. food show, especially the place in texas with the ginormous steaks. man, i could go on and on but thats the big stuff i would do.

I'd fix the Ranger.

Then I'd set up a semi-non-profit garage geared mostly towards helping people who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford to get their cars fixed.

A combination/variation of those, plus:

Pay off loans & close families loans
Start up my engineering company I've thought about
Build up a couple of different cars/trucks
Build one of these
If you won the lottery.............

and sail the great lakes, then see about the oceans.

It would need to be a large pot though for the boat though.
