if you look under the hood you'll probably find my flex handle ratchet and 15mm socket :temper:

i love losing tools. :annoyed:

Haha I was driving around hearing a metal clink every pot hole thought something was loose. I check suspension seemed fine I open hood and down below sitting by battery was my socket wrench.

I replaced the front brake pads and rotors on my sister's car. I had the caliper dangling from a bungee cord while I was working on it. About an hour after my sister drove off, I realized the bungee cord was still tied to the suspension of the car. I finally retrieved it the next time I saw her/the car about a month later.

how about this.. about a year and a half ago i lost my smallest pry bar. a couple months ago a car came in that hadn't been in for a very long time (about a year and half lol).

i now have my pry bar back haha. MAYBE i will get lucky and this person will come back... back i used that ratchet and socket everyday, so now i get to buy them again

:icon_rofl:

I'm sure you'll get it back...been there...done that...except I wasn't getting paid to work on the vehicle...

Mostly screw drivers that I loose....not sure why...

Yesterday I sproinged a bungee cord to remove something from the back of my truck and, for some reason, it went right over the other side...not a big $ loss, but it was the longest one I had...

As an IT manager, I needed to keep a few tools around my office. I got so tired of people running in and hollering, "I need to borrow your screwdriver for a second.", as they grabbed it and ran out the door - never to be seen again. Or if I wasn't in the office, when I got back the screwdriver would be gone. So I put it in the desk drawer - still gone. Hide it behind the books on the bookshelf - still gone. I finally went to Wally-World and got 2 dozen screwdrivers. Hid them in each desk drawer, left one on top of desk, on bookshelf in front of books, on window sill, under stuff in drawers, in supplies boxes, etc. After about 15 of them disappeared, it seemed to reach some sort of threshold where everyone who needed one, had one and the disappearance rate slowed way down. After a couple of years, I still had a couple of them around and I could just leave them lay on the desk and nobody bothered them.

you should've just gone and taken something from their desk. when i worked at autozone, we'd make you leave your ID or CC when borrowing tools
