my theft light is flashing but i also have no connectivity at my obd2 port and cannot find any issues with the wiring

Since the ignition needs to be on to connect to a scanner I would guess that's normal.

It is to discourage theft.
Or at least that is what my '02 F-150's owners manual says.
It kinda freaked me out when I first got the truck, at least in the blinking light is completely normal with the key off/out just sitting there.

its flashing rapidly when the ignition is on. it was running great and i left the battery hooked up for 3 days which was the longest i had it hooked up after the engine swap. after the 3 days i lost injector pulse and the theft light now flashes rapidly with the ignition on. i tried to scan it but the port has no connectivity.
