My credo
Wut?
If I drive for awhile and get the truck up to temp, then let's say, stop for gas, when I get back in the truck and start it up, the idle goes up and down. Revving the engine does nothing to stop it. Only driving down the road alleviates the problem. It doesn't seem to be a serious problem, just annoying. I just changed the fuel pump, sender and all that because it was getting hard to start when cold. Idle problem is still there. Does a 93 have a fuel pressure regulator that might cause problems? Maybe something is absorbing heat when I shut the truck off. Similiar to vapor lock on carbed engines? Dunno. At a loss on this one.

Does anyone else have a fuel gauge that reads 3/4 full when the tank is topped off? I was hoping the new fuel sender would solve this, but it actually reads a little lower now.

I really don't like this truck! I miss my 87.

sounds like a bad TPS to me. you can usually test them with a DVOM.

your fuel gauge problem could be a bad instrument cluster.
