Hi Everyone!
My '96 Ranger 2.3L engine likes to race at idle every once in a while.
It's a manual transmission.
I have taken the IAC off and cleaned it with carb cleaner and it still doesn't help the racing.
I pulled into the driveway tonight, the engine was racing again so I popped the hood and unplugged the Idle air control valve.
The idle dropped nicely.
Should I buy a new idle air control valve to solve the racing problem?
