Sup,
new to the forum, just picked up another ranger.
Its an 83 4 cylinder 4x4.
Im wanting to get the carb rebuilt and new intake gaskets as it has a wicked vacuum leak somewhere.
the problem is that i was told by the previous owner that the engine was swapped at some point and he is not sure if its a 2.0l or 2.3l.
The tag on the carb has 6069 stamped on it, there is 6-2037 on the top portion of the carb and what i think is 2336 on the lower but cant be sure. its made by carter.

Any ideas???
Thanks

That would be a Carter carb. That red tag is what you will need for a rebuild kit. Get the numbers off it and go to the parts store. They should be able to look up the carb kit from that.
