guys I got my bronco ii all lined out but still has a low rough idle. It was running pretty good so I took the iac off to clean it, put it back on and it runs terrible. Very low rough idle and you can unplug it and nothing changes. So I went and bought a new one, put it on and made zero difference. I checked the voltage at the plug and had almost 12v while running(11.8v). Before cleaning I had a code 13. Now I have 12 and 13 with a horrible idling bronco ii. Please help I am about to burn her down.

If I disconnect the tps then reconnect it, it runs fine till I kill it and restart it.just found that out.

Can't hurt to set/test the TPS: http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/?p=30 but I really think that your computer is simply going into "default" mode when it sees no TPS signal. Then it resets when you restart with it reconnected.

You may have a clogged idle air port in your intake manifold or you may have a vacuum leak.
Keep the Bic in your pocket for a while yet.....

Did you clean the port for the IAC? When I did that it had so much junk in the port that it killed my spark plugs.

I test the tps and it has.99v closed and almost 5v wide open. I think that is right, if that is how it is tested. I didn't clean the ports any but this evening I will do that and clean tb. Does the map sensor have any control of the iac? I have checked multiple times for a vacuum leak and found nothing. What gets me is it wasn't doing this till I cleaned then replaced the iac, nothing else.

I cleaned tb and ports in iac on intake, checked again for vacuum leaks and tested and set tps. No change in condition but now I am only getting code 13. maybe bad new iac????

Ok the iac only works if I jump the grey wire on the sensor plug to ground like the computer should do. what trigger the iac to open and could the computer have gone bad?
