I wish I had done this...

That was inspiring. Actually had better take off than I expected. I would assume a small truck like that minus the engine and bed wouldn't weight much more than a big riding mower that these small engines are made for so it makes sense that it would work. Wonder how good the torque is. Probably can't make it up a hill.

wonder what a motorcycle engine would do:unsure:, Hayabusa anybody???

Fricken awesome.

Could you imagine the looks you'd get if you walked out in a parking lot and pulled a rope to start your truck!?

Really cool idea....and prolly about the same power as the factory mitsu 4 cylinder.....

But i dont think i would have used a predator. I get it, hes pry in HS and they are cheap, but i woulda found a 20hp+ twin briggs or kohler.

Really impressive build

You are right, that kid is not one of the "I want it all now, you owe it to me" generation

I've got a 20hp v-twin Briggs Racing engine that would be perfect for something like this. If only BII's weren't so damn heavy... Because I've also got several of them.

What is "HS"?

well duh. i feel silly;brownbag;

i barely went, when i went. lol

Gotta give the kid props for doing the work and coming up with something that pretty much works. Being that it's a Dodge, it was probably an improvement. In any case, the kid isn't afraid to put forth some effort and get his hands dirty.

Horror Fright engine > still more reliable than a 2.9 :stirthepot:

He's the kinda kid who would do just fine in the zombie apocalypse....
