Gaaahhhh not only the damn egr tube, but also gotta pop off the upper intake -__- and my hands are not nearly Chinese enough to fit in to get the back most bolt..

..and even then.. theres a bunch of harness that hugs the back of the motor and the cover that makes the final removal of the cover an absolute tetris nightmare.

Finally got it.. why is it always the 'easy jobs' that cause you to nearly wear-out the lords name?

About the same on the sohc. Don’t have to remove the egr tube, but damn near everything else.

Terrible, terrible job lol.

I'm just glad its a 200k+ mile motor that I'm planning on replacing anyways.. so much oily gunky shmutz ended up falling on top of the head and all over the cam lobes lol, gotta vacuum that crap out now.
