How can I accomplish this? I know wider tires would help, but mine have a lot of life left in them and don't have the money to get new ones at the moment. It already has 1/2" spacers on it. It feels like its gonna roll just taking a turn on the street.

Would these help?

Like the link to the spacers I posted? That would be a cheaper option, but I'm not really wanting to spend $140 on spacers either

You can buy cheapo wagon wheels w/ 2.5"-3.5" of backspacing for about the same price and not have to deal with the spacers. I'm not a fan of wheel spacers.

How can I make that work since the lug bolts are built into the rotors?

The link Sunk provided is what I'm talking about. I have a couple of pics. of my Ex to show what different offset wheels look like.

This is with 5" backspaced wheels. The tires are 14.5" wide on 9" wheels

This is with 3.5" backspaced wheels. The tires are 12.5" wide on 8" wheels

They stick out way more with the wheels I have now (the 3.5" backspaced)

I don't like spacers but you do what you want. I bought wider tires and 10" wide rims. These have 4" back space.

I don't get that top heavy feeling anymore.

Thanks everyone. Looks like I need different rims and wider tires. Time to start saving.

I'd say the tires you have look fine, but it looks like you have the factory wheels. Go with a 15x8 with a 3.5/3.75" backspacing for the look your after. 10" wide wheels on a D28/35 wheel bearing setup are hard on parts.

If you have the D28 & 7.5", a swap to the D35 & 8.8" will net you 1.5" more width overall (plus you get a set of WAY stronger axles in the process).

I agree about the spacers though, it really puts a strain on your wheel bearings.
