i want a manual t case

so i want a manual t case but dont really know where to get one and off what years they come how much they should cost ect. can anyone help me out here ive just seen there is a manual 1354 manual case that bolts directly up any info could help thanks

'90-'97 Rangers for a manual 1354 (it was an option though, so it's not real common. Majority are electric shift).

BTW, if this is for the '03 in your profile, you'll probably need to get the front driveshaft with it, the output yoke on the t-case is different.

Or maybe you can find an FX4 manual case, although these are even rarer still (they will bolt right into yours though)

Your local junk yard may have them. Also check the For Sale section here, there's usually transfer cases for sale, many manuals.

The "issue" with a 2003 is the "six bolt cup" front driveshaft used from 97-current

Couple that with the fact that somewhere around 24 out of 25 13-54 T-cases
came with a "half moon" yoke for the front output and you have a receipe for
frustration.

There are TWO WAYS out of that problem.

One) buy a 13-54 manual shift in the clear knowledge that you will
need to disassemble it AND disassemble the electric shift 13-54 T-case
you have (presuming your truck wasn't shipped with a BW 44-05) to
take parts from the E-shifted case to make it mate to your front driveshaft

Two) as someone above already mentioned get a driveshaft with it, however this is a bit more complicated because the driveshaft you want was used in all 1995 and about 2/3 of 1996 epxlorers.

And there is another way.

Find someone with a 13-54 manual AND the parts (an "organ donor" '98-up 13-54)
who is willing to convert it for you and ship you a ready to install T-case.
(this last is certain to be more expensive)
