i wanna put my 3.0 6 cyl 4x4 ranger on 35s!!!

I love all the comments from people that haven't experienced a 3.0 with 35's, lol. Its fine, I have 35s and 4.88 gears. Its no race car, and it wasn't when it was stock either. Never had a problem, and has enough power... but again, its no race car. It will still do 100mph on the highway if I wanted to. I ran my 35s with 3.73 gears for a few months too.... and that wasn't that bad either. Not that yould want to run 35s and 3.73s but if you have to for a short while, its doable. Actually a towed a 4000lb '52 chevy and a tow dolly with 35s and 3.73, lol. Its important to know that that is with a standard transmission, that makes a world of difference.

Ps, I usually average around 14.5 mpg. I just finished a trip through the mountains in tennesee and got 17.4 mpg... usually highways is just over 16mpg.

Pps, the ranger they're building in petersons 4x4 magazine is a 3.0, with 35s... but yes, they do complain about not having a crap ton of hp.... but that's the 3.0 in general

5.13's.

Nuff Said.

They don't make 5.13's for the SLA D35 front end, only up to 4.88's

I plan on going 4.56's and 33x10.50's at some point with my 3.0L andit soes just fine with 3.73's and 31's but i figure i"ll give it a bit more and get that power down more efficiently.

with the newer trucks if you don't overdo the lift it looks great with 33's

i could not find a tag on the rear end is there another way i can found out what gears it has and the ratio could i tell by the vin number or somethin???????

There is a sticker on the side of the drivers door. Look for the axle code and compare that to what's in the tech library.

3.0 with 4.56 35s, and over 250k miles on the engine.
The powers there, until you hit 4k+ rpms and then it's useless. It does sound good when it's straight piped.
Yes, highway driving is a pain, but come on, you're driving a brick at 65 mph. Wind resistance and rolling resistance are your biggest enemies. I can easily cruise at 65 doing 2500 rpms as long as there isn't a sudden hill.
