i wanna go fast

When I had my ranger, I got it to 80...once. And I was going downhill with a tailwind. My F-150 does 90 pretty easily, but with TTB at that speed, it feels like I'm trying to drive a boat in a rainstorm.

101 in my 06 f150 v6(governed down) and 80-85 not in the Bronco II,
was flat towing it to wyoming from oklahoma, honestly the 4.2l v6, with 3.55 gears, and 265/70/r17 tires impressed the hell out of me, didnt know it was back there half the time, unless i was stopping.

P.S. flow of traffic up here sometimes is 90mph, with the speedlimit set to 75mph

deff somtimes your a retard if your only going 10 over the speedlimit around here it not uncommon to be going down a steep grade and the flow is rinning 85 90 earth moocs past you pretty fast when your doing 100 my truck feels great at 90-100 no shaking no noises at all but if you add a little side wind ima gonna slow down to below 85:annoyed:

On a closed road I had the 85 with a 306 and a 3.45 rear gear on 10.5 tires to 6500 rpm. You do the math. It was freaky fast.

2.3L with 3.45 gear and stock 14" wheels with 225/70/14 tires. It cut off at 103. Needless to say I wont be doing it again.

70 on the LIE, truck has plenty of oomph I will say. Can't quite go faster with daddy in the truck though...lol

(did get airbourne at 40mph today though, hill was alot steeper than I thought....)

89 ranger, ext cab, 4wd, 5 speed,2.9, 3.73's, and 31.10.50's i had my speedo pegged past 85. i was doing maybe 90 to 95

90 exploder 4.0,5 speed, 3.73's, 31.10.50's 4wd. i pegged its speedo past 85. had to be doing at least 100 to 105

73 chebbie blazer 3.73's auto, 31.10.50's going down hill i got to 100......that was scary when the death wobble kicked in.

06 zo6 vette severely modded, 6 speed, i did 182 and still had a gear to go.

09 stage 3 roush mustang+ trak pack did 130 before i backed out. the only reason i did is beacuse it was a dealer test drive and i knew the guy

I had my 88 ex-cab pegged out before. I had small street tires on it though. After 80mph the rear end started to chatter and growl. I backed out once I realized it. lol

My Ranger is a '93, 4.0L 5spd with 3.73 gears, and 33x12.5's.

That being said, Going down the freeway one night (trying to catch up to my cousin who was up ahead of me, he skipped the rest area, and I didn't) I got the speedo to 85, an when you factor in the tires, that puts it about 93-95mph or so.
I have the tires balanced with BBgun BB's (if any of you have heard of that, it really does work) and at that speed, it was smooth as glass. No death wobble, no tire wobble, nothing, just smoothness.

I'm not saying it is any more legal, but I went half an hour without seeing another car going my direction, on a 3/4 lane Freeway (I-90), at the time that I went this speed. It is one of the FEW times I've had it over 80.

I've pushed mine to the limits a few times, but those days are behind me.

'96 4.0L 3.08 gears 225/70R14 tires, 112mph @4200rpm 5th gear

The limiter kicks in at that point and prevents it from going any faster, otherwise at the time I would have taken it even higher.

As I said though, those days are long behind me. My lead foot got me into alot of trouble back then, never again.

Done 110mph in both my old 93 with 3.0 5spd and my 96 4.0 5spd. Limited by the rev limiter on both. I would not do that now with 228,000 miles on the chassis.

Top speed though for me has been 135mph driving a Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4, and 148 riding in the passenger seat with someone in the back in winter, at night, down not the greatest of Alaskan roads. It will probably remain my record for the rest of my life. Now that i'm a little older with a wife and kids, I don't push things that bad. BTW, for the price, that car is freaking badass.
