I don't need a lot of music space, but I want to buy and I-pod shuffle for my ranger. The aftermarket CD player is compatible for MP3(I think there's a plug-in jack in the back of it).

My question is: I looked at the dock they sell for the shuffle and it doesn't say if the dock has connectors or if its meant to be connected to a CD player.

What's the best way to put a functional dock for a shuffle in my ranger so I can jam to my tunes without all the CD's?

I'm not good in the sound business, so any input would be greatly appreciated!!

the mp3 compatible means you can put a cd with mp3s on it and it will play, cd are done in wma if im not mistaking, and the files are big so you only get 15- 20 songs per cd. if you put mp3's on a cd you can fit 300+ but the best and easiest way to hook up a ipod is with a male/male head phone jack cable. i actually use both,

x2 on the male/male cable. you can get a deck with the auxiliary input for pretty cheap and the cable is like 5 bucks or so.

my pioneer stereo has an ipod plug it plugs into any ipod and charges it too plugs into the bottom of the ipod where you connect it to your computer and i can scroll through my artist and everything right on my deck alot of manufacters of stereos are starting to incorporate the ipod connections so it shouldnt be hard to find but instead.

About the shuffle those little things are different i dont know if they have the same plugs as the other ipods so youll probably need a plug that plugs into the headphone jack on the shuffle and into the axillary plug in the back of the stereo. What you dont want is those ipod adapter thatrun off the radio frequencies cause the sound quality isnt as good and you tend to get alot of static
