Why do you THINK you need an M5OD-R1HD behind a 4.0OHV?

The usual cause of failure of an M5OD-R1 isn't due to "stength"
but maintainance... basically not keeping oil in it.

And that cause of failure will kill an "HD" just as dead.

That's true...the M5OD-R1 is a solid tranny. Keep an eye on those leaky shift rail plugs and fluid levels.
 
I'm not aware of any availible adaptors to mate a 4.0 to a T-5. Did they just come out with one?
