I need to know what the inside of the harmonic balancer looks like on other trucks. Reason I ask is because mine has a long groove that goes across the entire surface, then another notch that goes halfway thru. The reason I am asking is, I am rebuilding my engine and have put my timing belt on twice. Both times the notches on the harmonic balacner ends up being off approximately 30 degrees. I check the marks on the oil pump as well as the cam gear and they are on. Then check the crank and it is ok. (that is with the balancer off) I am really confused.
