Strange... There was a whole bunch of discussion on here and on other forums about it.

I would shoot them an email, ask what's up (or better yet, call them on the phone).
Edit:
Rangers did not have coil spacers from the factory. Often there is a leveling shim under the driverside coil, though it's only about 1/8" to 3/16" thick.
The rear lift block which you so eloquently described it's bumpstop protrusion (lol) is factory however.
