i need shocks with 12" of travel

where should i get shocks with 12" of travel? my current shocks are 16" fully compressed and 25 1/2" fully extended so i guess that makes for 9 1/2"

I don't know if they will fit your chevy chassis, but the 92 Dodge Ramcharger shocks I'm putting on my trailer have 11.78 inches of travel, or "stroke". As soon as I get the damn hornets nests out of there (been a lot of those damn things this year) I'll get it done. Here's a link if it will work for you:

Of course, this may only solve the rear problem.....the fronts on the Dodge only go 7.78 inches. I can't believe I'm going to use something Dodge.

You can order shocks by length vs. applications at most retail locations. You may have to grab the book/binder from the idiot behind the counter and find them yourself though...

i know right? i usually drive to the one out in kearns just because on 2 seperate occasions the autozone in magna asked me "disc or drum brakes" when i had set a brake pad (not shoe) down on the counter
