I have a 93 Ford Ranger with the 4.0

I have replaced

plugs
wires
TPS sensor
IAC sensor
coil
fuel filter
fuel Pump
MAF sensor
Intake Manifold gasket
Fixed all the Vaccum leaks

I have done all of this in just the last two weeks and I'm still having issues with the truck I can drive it when I unplug the MAF sensor but as soon as I plug it in its starts to fall on its face and acts like its miss firing.

get a multi-meter and check the MAF sensor plug/pigtail for current/draw, if there is a break or corrosion in that wiring somewhere, it could cause a weak or bad signal to the computer, creating the poor running condition, I cant guarantee it will be the fix, but its an avenue to check

the plug is getting enough power I have a new MAF and a old one I keep switching them back and forth but both of them just makes it fall on its face after I hook either of them up

it needs a good ground as well. maybe it has a bad ground. did you test it like the link suggests? are you changing just the sensor or the entire housing? is the o ring on the sensor? have you taken the housing off and checked that out for being plugged with anything? it seems like there is a small port that runs through it. check the intake tube between the MAF and the intake for holes.
