First off the truck is a 94 Ranger, 4.0 5 Speed 4WD.

I got in my truck tonight and turned on my lights and backed out of my driveway, i made it all of 10 feet forward when i heard a pop and lost my dash lights. Now that ive looked into it a bit i found i have no dash lights, my ABS light is blinking rapidly, i have no turn signals(front or back) I have no brake or tail lights and i have no front marker lights. My head lights do still work though along with everything else from what i can tell. I checked the fuses and Cant find a blown one. My instrument cluster fuse doesnt even have power coming to it but one of the fuses next to it did.
Any Ideas what could have happened???
Thanks
Beef

Check the heavy fuse block under the hood. You might find a blown fuse in there. You may also have curcit breakers in the heavy fuse block that can also foul up and cause the problems described. Good luck!

Check your relays. There's usually one for that light system, and it's usually on a separate circuit from the headlights. If someone can find me a link to the wiring diagram, I can probably tell you exactly what it is.

gotta be your relays or depending on how its wired a bulb blew causing the rest to go out. my friends 85 bronco 2 had a dash light bulb go out...nothin worked till we replaced it then it did. i would start at the relays though...seems more likely

If the headlight relay is the same swap it in and see if the other systems light up. Most of those relays are Bosch and can be had at any parts store.

this may be a dumb question but where are the relays on my 94??? i can only find the 3 in my fuse box under the hood.

Thanks
Beef

Check for a small wire from battery negative terminal to some place on the body sheet metal.
Make sure it's still in good shape.

could it be the headlight switch or connector the dash lights and park lights are normally on the same circuit. If you are getting no power to the relay from the switch but from the battery I dont have a schematic for your year

I figured it out!!!!! A wire had rubbed through against the frame and was shorting out!!!!
Thanks for the help guys!!!!
