Can anyone tell me what years a rear driveshaft will fit my truck?

Reg cab, short box, 4x4, 4.0l , Mazda 5 spd and a 1354 electric T-case.

I can't really drive the truck with it vibrating so damn bad... this one has a double carden joint thats looser then fawk. I'd like to replace it with a driveshaft with single u-joints on the ends.

Local drivetrain shops want $165/$225 to either replace the double carden portion or build a new shaft. :thefinger: I would rather go to the 'yard and pick one up CHEAP.......

well your pinion angle should be changed if you are changing form a DC jointed shaft to a single carden joint or you will still have a vibration. the reason that shaft was used on your truck is because of the short wheelbase and high u-joint angles. rebuild the shaft you have, you will end up in much better shape

Anything from '91-'97 Reg Cab Shortbed 4WD should fit yours (any engine/trans).

I agree, keep the DC shaft, especially if it's lifted.

Thanks alot for the help. I only plan on leveling out the front coils springs, not lift. I was shocked the local CarQuest had it in stock (its a tiny hole in the wall)...

This damn driveshaft is RUSTED!!! I usually do things myself but screw it.
The guy that does machine work for our shop is gonna put new joints and everything all together..... Hope to have it done tomorrow while im at work. Then I can give my wife her Jeep back. :bye:.

Well, I fawked this drive shaft up. The ball bearing seized to the pin on the shaft and the cup was destroyed!, as well as the flange that bolts up to the T-case. It's looking like I'm gonna need a whole new joint welded on....... Dammit!!!
