Both the Heads on My Ranger are Cracked, and World Heads no longer makes them, so I cant Replace them, and I do not wanna swap engines. So its either fill my truck with Coolant Everyday and Change the Oil every 2 weeks, So I might Sell it and Get something else.

Found this, I Emailed him some questions.
1983 Bronco

That's a pretty looking Bronc.

You could always look for some used factory heads too. Just an idea.

Yeah Looks nice and they are dependable.
Around here with the heat, Trucks & Cars Overheat and blow Head Gaskets and Crack heads and Blocks all the time, everyone is warned by You pull that theyre pry blown or somethin.

Well, look a little farther from home. I'll betcha some good old TRS'er has a set of good 2.9 heads somewhere.

The Bronco you posted looks like a pretty good deal. I used to have a beat up '84 Bronco and it was pretty fun.

But don't give up on your Ranger! I know you were planning big suspension changes but maybe you could put those back a while and focus on getting the engine in good shape first. Maybe swap in a 4.0 or 5.0!

Each of the vehicles have their benefits.

Ranger:
better gas mileage
haul dirty/oversize stuff in the bed
fits on tighter offroad trails

Bronco:
already built
can haul more people
can haul stuff stored in a secure/dry area

And other, but those are as I see it. You'll have to decide what works best for you.

Me & My Dad are thinking about replacing the Heads, then possibly buying a newer ranger with blown heads and replacing those. :)

Go for it. Replacing a set of heads is about as easy as an oil change if you are careful with it. Especially on a push-rod engine.

Just don't use a power cleaner on the block. Use a razor blade and brake cleaner and be real ginger, do your best not to gouge the block.

I have a set of heads, only catch all of the manifold bolts broke off. They were good working heads could use some cleaning but they are good.

^ there you go!

Don't get rid of that truck just yet. I would changed those heads and call it a day.

Are you 100% sure they are cracked? How did you find out?

Check on Ebay, Bro. Call some scrap yards and see if you can find them. There are some places around that repair cracked heads...see if there is a place near you...Google it.

So My Ranger is staying after all! <3 Were replacing the heads this weekend with a pair off ebay apparently there world castings and have never been used. So im pretty happy that i get to keep my baby and continue building her up.

There you go. Just gotta search man. There will always be NOS parts out there, you just gotta look.
