Not sure if the moderators can actually change the name but you might want to contact them...there is a thread for problems with the site that they monitor fairly closely...just post the problem there...they may tell you to simply create a new account with a different name but I really don't know how that works.
Aside from that...nothing really wrong with the name...you can fill in other details in your user CP control panel and go with it...I've seen worse names to be honest...but the name selection is pretty wide open with only 70,000 or so members.
