i just cant help myself this time. i'm addicted to all of this guy's videos.

apparently turbo 2.8's and 2.9's are pretty common in europe?

supposedly this thing only has a cam and big (holset i think) turbo along with standalone megasquirt efi.

are those stock internals really holding up to 1.1 bar @ 406hp???

edit- correction- 18psi and its a garett gt40. guess i was thinking of another video...

I don't see why not, fords v6s have always been pretty stout

I think those are Cosworth engines. 4 valves. Motors alone (I even looked this up) are 5k+ used.

He has to have upgraded internals for that power.

That looks entirely fun to drive. Very impressive.

i know its definitely NOT a cosworth (did a little research on these cars lol), but im gonna try to get ahold of the guy for more details...

ford actually sold a turbo 2.8 version of this car so who knows...

Notice how it's 580nm (Newton metres)? I'm assuming that would be Metric horsepower then. So that would be about 400 HP and 430 lb/tq. Stout little ride for sure!

A Newton meter is the metric counterpart of a foot pound. It is a unit used to measure rotational torque.

WOW that sucks D:< doesnt dart make some as well? i know there was one other company besides world...

All I can say is........ :3gears:

Hmmmmm....makes me miss my 72 Capri...it was a fun little car...but I only had a 2.3 in mine...or something like that...can't remember, but it wasn't a powerhouse...the one time I was able to squawk the tires was coming off gravel...and I just happened to do this wonderful stunt as a Police cruiser was coming up behind me...
