ok....i need help ive read everything on here i can find about what seats fit in rangers. but there is no years on rangers that these seats fit in. i have a 2002 ranger standard cab with the lame 60/40 pleather seats. i can find seats all day long but i needs to know what year mustang seats will fit in an 02. i recently bought explorer seats only to find they fit unless i make fit but if i have to make seats fit im going with better then explorer seats. i want this done as easy as possible...please help im going crazy trying to figure this out, thanks

Do your seats unbolt from the tracks, or are the seat backs part of the tracks?

I can't remember where I read it, but I read that the newer Rangers don't have tracks separate from the seats, so that may be an issue if you want to swap seats out. I think you have to get some 93-97 tracks, regular cab, or extended, depending on what you have and then you can swap in mustang, explorer or other ranger seats, and pretty much bolt them in.

If you have separate tracks, or get some tracks from an older ranger, you can also make a lot of different seats work, but you may have to fabricate to mount them on the older tracks.

Also, if your tracks can be unbolted, or if you get some older tracks, you can always go to the salvage yard and measure the tracks on the seats you want to put in and see if you can make them work.

I recently done a seat swap, and the seat mounts were a few inches wider that the stock seats, but with just a little materials and work, they worked out just fine. (no welding)

my seat back bolt to the frame. i was hoping for an easy bolt in but i feel im going to have to fab up a little bit of stuff to make a set of seat work. actually got my hands on a set of escort gt seats so im hoping i can make them work.
